Currie Group will continue to operate as a stand-alone business within the Aldus Group of companies following the completion of the acquisition earlier this year.
The business remains under the leadership of CEO Rob Mesaros and continues to serve customers across Australia and New Zealand through its established portfolio spanning commercial printing, labels and packaging, finishing, sign and display, 3D printing and consumables.
Aldus Group director Frank Floriano said the acquisition reflected strong confidence in what Currie Group has built over many decades and the role it continues to play in the print and graphic communications industry.
“Currie Group has built an exceptional reputation across the industry through its long-standing customer relationships, strong global partners and the quality of its people,” Floriano said.
“We acquired the business for what it represents and the strength of the platform that already exists. We believe the future is very bright for Currie Group as part of Aldus Group.”
Floriano said Currie Group will continue operating independently with its existing leadership and market focus, coupled with a newly formed board.
“Rob Mesaros remains as CEO and there are no changes planned to the leadership structure. Currie Group will continue operating as its own business within the Aldus Group structure.”
The acquisition brings together two highly complementary organisations within the broader print and graphic communications sector.
Aldus Group companies include Milford Astor, Foilmakers, Paragon Inks, Tronics and Aldus Engineering, providing products and services across areas such as screen, flexographic and pad printing, inks, coding solutions and engineering.
Currie Group will continue to focus on representing its global OEM partners and supporting customers across Australia and New Zealand through its extensive sales, service and technical support network.
For David Currie, former majority shareholder and chairman of Currie Group, the transition represents an important milestone for the company’s long-term future.
“From my father’s vision when he founded the business more than 75 years ago through to today, Currie Group has always been built on strong relationships, trust and a deep commitment to the industry,” Currie said.
“I am proud of what the company has become and confident the business will continue to grow and evolve as part of Aldus Group.”
