Press Release: 18th March 2026
Currie Group has announced a new partnership with IUV, a global developer of UV and LED curing systems for the printing, coating and converting industries.
Through the partnership, Currie Group will introduce IUV’s full portfolio of curing technologies to customers across Australia and New Zealand, including mercury UV, hybrid and LED curing systems designed to support high-performance production across a wide range of printing applications.
Headquartered in China and operating from a 5,000-square-metre manufacturing facility, IUV has established a strong reputation in research and development across both mercury and LED curing technologies and is recognised as one of the leading global suppliers of UV curing systems with a strong presence and influence across the Asia-Pacific region.
Mark Daws, Director – Labels & Packaging ANZ at Currie Group, said the partnership brings together advanced curing technology with local service and parts support for customers in the region.
“UV curing technology continues to evolve rapidly and plays a critical role in production performance for many printing and converting environments,” said Daws.
“IUV brings a highly innovative portfolio that includes mercury UV, hybrid and LED curing systems. One of the advantages of their hybrid platform is the ability to easily interchange between mercury and LED curing, giving customers greater flexibility as production requirements change.”
Daws said the partnership also addresses a long-standing challenge for printers in the region — reliable access to spare parts, service and local technical support.
“Through this partnership, customers will have the backing of Currie Group’s local infrastructure, ensuring access to parts, service and technical support when they need it,” he said.
IUV’s technology platform incorporates several innovations designed to improve production efficiency and long-term reliability. These include automatic width detection for LED curing systems, which automatically adjusts the curing area to match the printed material, reducing energy consumption by up to 75 per cent while extending LED lifespan.
Additional features include modular power control systems that allow flexible system configuration and simplified maintenance, built-in lifetime tracking for each LED head, and intelligent monitoring capabilities that provide real-time feedback on UV energy output and system performance.
The systems are also designed to support modern production environments through real-time monitoring, data collection and integration with factory systems, helping printers improve production consistency while reducing maintenance costs.
The addition of IUV further expands Currie Group’s portfolio of technologies supporting the print, packaging and graphic communications industries across Australia and New Zealand.
