Book now for ABG By Appointment - Melbourne. 5-7 March.

Currie Group Announces ‘ABG By Appointment’ Event.

Businesses looking to enter the label market, expand their offering, or improve productivity and profitability with hi-spec finishes and seamless end-to-end workflows should move quickly to lock in a consultation with the experts at Currie Group’s upcoming ‘ABG By Appointment’ event in March.

Following the success of its ‘Sign & Display By Appointment’ event in Sydney in November, Currie Group is set to offer the same opportunity for private, tailored demonstrations to those in the market for label converting solutions, with bookings now open for sessions at the company’s Melbourne showroom from 5-7 March.

Mark Daws, Director – Labels & Packaging ANZ for Currie Group, says it’s an opportunity for business owners and key decision makers to consult directly with the experts and explore solutions configured to suit their individual business needs.

“When you’re talking about business growth and capital investment, there’s no ‘one size fits all solution’,” Mark says. “By creating dedicated time slots where we can focus on the needs and aspirations of a particular business, we are better able to concentrate on the key points that will answer their requirements.”

On show in Melbourne will be a complete, end-to-end label production and converting workflow, featuring some of the most versatile, advanced and popular solutions from the UK-based A B Graphic International – or ABG – including the award-winning ABG Digicon Series 3 and ABG DigiLite 3 digital finishing systems and an ABG SRI3 slitter rewinder inspection system.

“The ABG Digicon Series 3 really is a flagship digital finishing system to suit even the most complex label applications,” Mark says. “The machine on show for the By Appointment event features a range of high-end options including hot foil and embossing, hi-build screen, lamination and die-cutting – but the beauty of the Digicon S3 is its modularity, with users able to choose from a wide range of options to configure a finishing solution to exactly match their customers’ needs.

“While the DigiLite is obviously more of an entry-level model, it’s not only ideally suited to those just entering the market; it’s also proving a popular choice with even very established label houses as a reliable workhorse which can add vital capacity and take pressure off the more hi-spec lines by providing productive converting for less complex jobs.

“Whatever the job, quality control is vital, particularly for applications like pharmaceutical labels or security products, and this is where the ABG SRI3 is invaluable. With its advanced, 100% inspection camera system, it can pick up even the smallest variations, from missing text or graphic elements, to registration or colour discrepancies, to ensure absolute accuracy and consistent quality, every time.”

The end-to-end workflow will also feature the versatile HP Indigo 6K Digital Press and be driven by HP’s PrintOS, to demonstrate a ‘totally integrated, totally automated’ workflow management from receipt of job – including web-to-print - through production to delivery, Mark says.

Complementing the product showcase will be a team of experts, including ABG Sales Manager, Mark Hyde who is already a familiar face to many in the ANZ region. He will be joined by local product specialists from both Currie Group and other partners, providing a wealth of expertise to those who attend, and demonstrating the strength of the relationships which underpin the group’s strong solutions and service capabilities.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have outstanding relationships with OEM partners like ABG, as we do with our customers,” Mark says. “It’s these connections which really drive success and we can’t wait to bring it all together for label businesses in Melbourne this March.”

The ABG By Appointment Event will run from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 March, at the Currie Group headquarters in Guest Street, Hawthorn.
